![]() Aflac Outdoor Games will also host a flyball competition, sanctioned by the United Flyball League International (U-FLI). The U-FLI promotes flyball as the ultimate dog sport for family and fun. Flyball is a relay sport in which a team of four dogs race against other four dog teams through a course of obstacles. The course is composed of four hurdles and a flyball box placed at the end of the hurdles. To successfully complete the obstacle course, each dog must jump all of the hurdles, hit the flyball box releasing a ball, retrieve the ball, then the dog must return to the start/finish line, with the ball, jumping each of the hurdle. After the first dog is across the finish line the next dog on the team may start their leg of the relay. Once all four dogs have successfully completed the course that team is finished. A combined score of course time and course penalties determines the winning team. The United Flyball League International’s flyball competition provides an entertaining and active way to interact with one’s dog in an environment that is fun and allows the dogs exercise and enjoyment.
